Why this drawer exists

OCD-identified therapists describe a recursive injustice: they know the protocol cold, and still cannot apply it to their own checking. Standard SOAP, DAP, and BIRP templates have open text fields that feed the compulsion. This one caps the surface area on purpose.

• Decide what goes in the note before you write it, so the work is judged against a plan, not against "is it perfect yet."
• Bound the time. The 8-minute timer follows the "good enough" framework, and you can adjust it.
• One final read, then the page locks. The lock is the point.
• Name the distinction every time: was that rewrite new clinical information, or was it OCD.
• Keep the compulsion log separate from the clinical record, so checking never hides inside documentation.
